A few years ago we went to Columbia River for a kite surfing event (Kiting for Cancer) and decided to round out the trip with a drive down to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum, south of Portland. I wanted to see the Spruce Goose. It is an overwhelming sight, redolent with history but the whole museum is really worth a visit, including the movies at the IMax theater. Highly recommended!
